Editorial Reviews:

When you've become one of contemporary Christian music's biggest stars, there are a lot of temptations to change your sound or tone the message down a little to reach a larger audience. But the anthemic, guitar-based Casting Crowns simply use their music as a pulpit ever more. Despite (or, perhaps, because of) all the world tours, platinum records, and Dove and Grammy awards, the members of the band still serve as ministers at Eagle's Landing First Baptist Church in McDonough, GA. This is honest and often gorgeous music that deals with doubt and pain, and how difficult it can be to live up to one's principles. "Slow Fade," an irresistibly slow-burning number, counsels listeners not to stray: ""People never crumble in a day, it's a slow fade." The album's two covers--a rousing take of Steve Fee's "All Because of Jesus" and a spirited version of Chandler's "I Know You're There"--count among the album's many highlights. --Mike McGonigal

Summary: Not as good as first two but still good
Comment: I liked their first two albums much better but this one is still worth buying. I think they had too much large chorus work and little kids singing at odd times but I love CC so I would still buy it again having heard it.

Summary: The Altar and the Door
Comment: This was a very moving and very relevant CD. I would recommend it to others who are Casting Crowns fans.

Summary: Amazing, hard-hitting album
Comment: Casting Crowns has released another amazing album. East to West is my favorite song on the CD, but Slow Fade, Somewhere in the Middle, The Altar and the Door, and All Because of Jesus are also really good songs. A powerful piece of work. Well done, CC!!

Summary: This is a great album!!!!
Comment: I love this album. "The Altar and the Door" is a great song, as is "East to West". But I think my favorite is "What This World Needs". This song just spoke a lot to me. A definte have album!!

Summary: great
Comment: I really enjoy Casting Crowns. They sing about real life circumstances and lean on the Lord while having a more modern-upbeat sound that kids and adults will enjoy (light rock'ish'). I put both of their cds right onto my ipod and have been listening to them ever since...
