It will turn while you are drinking and shut off, then open and spill. I have been unscrewing the top and drinking out of the bottle. The sport top is a waste of money. My daughters had the regular tops on sigg bottles and they were driving me crazy asking me to open them for them every other minute. The funny thing is both bottles came with different types of sports tops. One sports top twists to open. My 5 year old is able to easily twist it to open and close. The other came with a active top that needs to be pressed to release the water. This works well for my 3 year old b/c once I taught her how to press it down for a drink, she can easily get a drink and it closes automatically so there are no leaks. We've only used our bottles for water, but they work great. Only problem we've had so far is that they dent really easily. We haven't done anything rough with them, but I've noticed they've already picked up some slight dents just from being carried around. I tried myself and ended up with the same results. I have heard that the other type tops do not have this difficulty
