The shape and size of this carabiner makes it great for most uses, from connecting a belay device to your harness or as a connector at the end of a lanyard. Gate opening 22mm. Major axis strength 28kN. Minor axis 7kN. Open gate 8kN. CE certified.

Comment: pay a little more if you have to and go with petzl. when you hanging or like me hung... you want somthing to hold.

Comment: It is kind of a weird shape, it's a bit longer than normal and about the same width at the top as the bottom is. The ball lock is great --a little unneeded but pretty stylish. It holds 28 KN-- which is about 6,300 lbs. It's aluminum and light.

Comment: It looks nice, works well... but it is def not what I was expecting. It's HUGE. I don't rem if there were dimensions present when I ordered, but this thing is def not the usual size. Beware.
