Loaded and wide, n?vi 760 has it all - advanced navigation features, a widescreen display, preloaded maps, an FM transmitter, hands-free calling, traffic alerts and more. Like the rest of the wide n?vi 700-series, its premium navigation capabilities, like route planning and a handy locator, give you peace of mind on the go. With n?vi 760's widescreen display, you'll always get the big picture. View map detail, driving directions, photos and more in bright, brilliant color. Its sunlight-readable, 4.3-inch display is easy to read - from any direction.n?vi 760 comes ready to go right out of the box with preloaded City Navigator NT street maps and millions of points of interest (POIs) such as hotels, restaurants, fuel stations, ATMs and more. Simply touch the color screen to enter a destination, and n?vi takes you there with 2D or 3D maps and turn-by-turn voice directions. It even announces the name of exits and streets so you never have to take your eyes off the road. In addition, n?vi 760 accepts custom points of interest, such as school zones and safety cameras and lets you set proximity alerts to warn you of upcoming POIs. The European version even includes a preloaded safety camera database containing locations of cameras for parts of Europe.

Customer Rating: Summary: A little disappointing Comment: I didn't give 5 stars (actually would have preferred 3.5) because the BlueTooth doesn't work with my phone (Treo 680) although I got it to function, it makes my device lock up after the call and I have to take out the battery. Also the speaker isn't that great and callers told me I sound like I'm down in a well. I'd have been better off buying the 750 for about $200 less!!
The other features are fine and I like the traffic report function. MP3 sounds okay and the picture viewer works well too.
Customer Rating: Summary: garmin nuvi 760 Comment: The Garmin 760 does an alright job, it seems to always travel the heavy traffic areas, the voice has a vibration to it and the screen has locked up on me several times while I was trying to navigate thru them for more information, forcing me to shut it off and restart it.
Customer Rating: Summary: Garmin nuvi 760 Comment: The GPS arrived sooner than promised. So far only two complaints and I have shared them with Garmin. The serial number, located on the bottom, is so small it is almost impossible to read even with a magnifying glass.
The unit came with the 2008 version of maps and during the registration process I was offered the current version (2009) at an additional cost of $69.95. I emailed Garmin asking why the unit was not shipped with current maps and why I was not eligible for a free upgrade. So far, no response, and sicnce it has been a month, I don't expect one.
Customer Rating: Summary: Nuvi 760 Comment: Purchased because I travel. Really cool that I can punch in an address a state away from me while sitting in my driveway and then take off and end up exactly where I need to be without any hitches. Really strange driving without maps but there is no need to have them when your Nuvi is with you. Looking for something to eat or a place to stay the night while in a strange town? Just simply touch a few buttons on the screen and find what you need. I must say that the hands free phone (bluetooth) is somewhat staticky while talking but I highly recommend this product.
Customer Rating: Summary: Great GPS - but guard that power cord! Comment: The GPS has been great. The traffic features are exceptional in routing you around construction, etc. (I saw parts of Ohio that I never knew existed, but I was not left sitting in traffic either). My only complaint is that the power cord should be plated in gold and have its own tracking device built in. I left mine in a rental car (or hotel - not sure which) and found out later when I went to buy a replacement that the cord has the traffic antenna and the system logic built into it. Replacement cost is almost half the total cost of the GPS! Thank goodness for eBay.
