If you're looking for a single device that prints, faxes, copies, and scans, the HP Photosmart C7280 All-in-One Printer, Scanner, and Copier is your answer. The printer has a built-in 2.4-inch display you can use to easily print photos without a PC: Simply put your memory card into the memory card slot (compatible with Secure Digital/MultiMediaCard, CompactFlash, Memory Stick, Memory Stick Duo, xD-Picture Card), preview it on the display, and print. Enhancing your photos and removing red eye is as simple as pushing the HP Red-eye Removal button. The HP Photosmart C7280 produces lab-quality, fade-resistant photo prints by using a six-ink color system for accurate color reproduction. Photos will always print on the correct side of the paper with the right quality settings because of HP Auto Sense technology. And coupled with HP Advanced Photo Paper, the C6280 is sure to produce photos that are smudge and smear-resistant right from the printer. Print speed is outstanding as well, at up to 34 ppm black and 33 ppm color. For those looking to save paper, an included duplexer lets you print on both sides of the paper. Sharing the printer with everyone on your network is simple with both built-in wireless and Ethernet connectivity. The fax functionality is performed by a 33.6 Kbps modem at speeds up to three seconds per page. The built-in memory can hold up to 90 pages and the fax is capable of color faxing, delayed sending, and auto-redialing with a maximum of 48 broadcasting locations. The scanner uses a Contact Image Scanner (CIS) for scans at up to 4800 dpi optical resolution with a scan size of up to 8.6 by 11.7 inches. The copier supports pages up to this size as well and you can make up to 50 copies in one pass. Color copies are supported and there are settings for enlarging and reducing from 50 to 400 percent. Summary: WOW I want a new printer now !!!!
Comment: The printer is slow and loud. I thought I was doing great by purchasing a wireless printer. I have had nothing but trouble from the time of purchase (6 months or so ago) until now.
The printer says that I am out of paper where there is less than half left in the paper tray, and that is very annoying especially when in another part of the house printing a document just to have to do more work just to print a document.
i am now re-installing the software for the third time and the software is a very large bloated program that takes forever to load.
The reason for the two stars is when this printer does work, it does an excellent job of getting photos scanned into the computer. again when it works.
Other than that, nice piece of expensive garbage.

Comment: this printer is recomended by consumer reports which was the sole reason i chose it. My photos look like they came from a real photo shop. great color, easy to use (has special tray for 4x6 paper) and there is no need to switch out ink for photo jobs.

Comment: Este printer es muy bueno, lo unico que no me gusta es que hace mucho ruido cuando se prende, tiene un poco de problemas cuando se utiliza el wireless porque se pierde la conexion, aunque mejora un poco cuando se utiliza el upgrade. pero aun asi tiene sus fallas, la calidad de su fotos es muy buena comparado con otras impresoras, pero no tan buena como si fuera un laboratorio o walgreens u otro lugar de revelado. el scanner es bastante bueno y rapido, aunque no me gusta mucho el software que utiliza para el escaner, el fax es como cualquier otra maquina de fax, el alimentador de papeles funciona muy bien y casi nunca hace un jam de papeles. en resumen es muy buena impresora, la compraria de nuevo y la recomiendo.

Summary: Worst software for any printer I have ever purchased.
Comment: The software on the printer sucks. Its got to be the most fustrating software ever and I work in the computer field. The HP Photosmart Essentials is mostly crapware. Maybe if HP spent a little more time on the software to manage the printer than they do on the crapware it would be a better product. The wireless feature is also very frustrating. Printing envelopes is venture you need to avoid. Not recommended at all.

Summary: Nice Features, Jamming Problems
Comment: A very user friendly all-in-one printer that is easy to set up and use. The in-printer LCD help is easy to understand and I had no issues getting this set up as a network printer. I did not load all the HP Bloatware, there is 100MBs of software that really serves no useful purpose. I installed the drivers and all went well. We use this to fax, copy and print from multiple PCs and it has been A-OK, until recently, except for running through ink fairly quickly. I do like the new Vivera cartridges and the resulting color,
Well, I've owned this printer for about 4 months and was extremely satisfied until it started jamming on print operations. No matter what I printed or what type of paper I used -- jam! I contcated HP and they agreed to replace the printer. That is the good news. I just hope the replacement unit doesn't experience the same issue.
