Customer Rating: Summary: Good - except slow at emailing things Comment: Everything works great and would recommend quickbooks to any small-medium sized business. HOWEVER, emailing invoices, reports, etc seems to take FOREVER on any PC i have used it on.
Hopefully that is remedied in 2009.
Payroll is amazingly easy to use. Automatic updates, etc..
Customer Rating: Summary: Amazon Great...QB, not so much... Comment: As always, Amazon provided great price and service....absolutely no complaints, there.
QB is another story. I was reasonably satisfied with my 2005 version until QB broke functionality that I had already bought and paid for. Specifically, they disabled my ability to email invoices to my customers on pretty much no notice whatsoever. They got me this time....but I now know I have 3 years to shop for a better program-one that will not steal from me what I've already purchased. And, it's just as buggy a program as the version I upgraded from. It hangs, crashes, and now takes forever to send emailed invoices to Outlook to be sent out....BTW, I have never used Outlook so I had to set up an old version of that. I'm expecting to run into issues with Microsoft...who is barely supporting the old version of Office. It would have been nice if I could have funneled the invoices through an email program that I'm actually using.
If you are already stuck with QB ....they've got you! But if you are looking for accounting software for the first time...keep shopping. Customer Rating: Summary: quickbooks going downhill Comment: Does a lot of things well however cost of payroll has gone up from $40 to over $300 a year no longer supports multiple companies, no upgrade discount. No technical support. Program constantly trying to sell quicken products. Customer Rating: Summary: Quick Books 2008 Comment: I received the product just as advertised and wasn't all that hard to install and get up and running. Customer Rating: Summary: Intuit will monitor you business without you knowing. You are forced to keep it forever. Comment: Quickbooks has gotton far from where it used to be. Small business software with easy input and quick reports. Now you must register, Check in monthly, Allow them to monitor your work, Update monthly, and never be able to sell your software to anyone els. If you fail to notify or update your intuit software you will be banned from ever using the software you put on your computer. I lost hours of work and talked to the Pakistanis on the phone for hours trying to work this out. I lost lots of time and money. I have to buy an other computer to run the software I had bougt for it. No one will change anything on my account. Intuit will never get my business again. I will go with Excel with is faster and prints out just as pretty. If you own Intuits software, you are stuck with it unless you go to Pakistan to sell it cheap.
