Summary: Does not last long
Comment: This battery was installed in a Palm Zire 72 with much difficulty. It does not perform well. After fulling charging, the battery is dead after 48 hours with NO use (just sitting on the shelf). With occassional use (2-3 times for a few minutes), the battery is dead before 36 hours. The original battery, when new, lasted up to 7 days with no use. I contacted Osprey to allow them to respond. Their reponse, "Sometimes the device's charger will stop charging a new battery before it is fully charged. If this happens, remove the battery from the device and then reinsert it. The charge cycle should begin again. This may happen several times during the first battery charge. Don't worry; it's perfectly normal." Once you have removed the original and reinstalled this new battery, the last thing you would want to do is remove it again - the process is too much hassle. I tried repeated charge and discharge cycles but the battery life never improved. Save yourself a headache and look for a different battery.

Summary: you'll tear up your Zire
Comment: It's almost impossible to replace a Zire battery yourself. Go on the internet and do some searches on battery replacement for Zire and you'll see the problems. I got mine in after a number of scratches to the case. The battery doesn't seem to hold nearly the charge as the original one.
