Customer Rating: Summary: Useful, well designed Comment: I bought the Bamboo fun to write notes with math formulas that I could store on my computer (without the hassle of scanning paper etc). The Bamboo hardware is perfect for this. It's well designed, functions just as advertised and integrates perfectly with my Macbook. The resolution is probably not good enough for any professional photo editing, but just fine for everyday stuff.
The only complaint I have is that none of the bundled software lets me write notes and store them as pdf documents (without importing clippings into other applications). I found what I wanted in the application Inkbook, but it's not included with the Bamboo tablet.
Anyway, a great device that I would recommend.
Customer Rating: Summary: One Annoying Thing You should know... Comment: Hi,
I have to say I do like this tablet for the money, the only thing you should realize is that there is, I believe, ONE MAJOR DESIGN FLAW.
The USB connector is on the top LEFT Side, which means for the 90-93 % of us whom are RIGHT HANDED and want to keep the tablet to the Right of the Keyboard...The Cord is TOTALLY in the Way.
Its a good tablet, just a very bad placement of USB cable. Should have been in the Middle to accommodate placement on either side of keyboard.
I think next time I would spend a little more for the Wireless one to avoid this issue.
Customer Rating: Summary: Fun addition to your computer! Comment: I've wanted a Wacom tablet for a while, and the Bamboo Fun was the right price. I am not a professional graphic designer, but I do love to create artwork and play with pictures on the computer, and the Bamboo Fun is great for this. I also went with the small size, and I'm glad that I did - it seems that it would take more effort and be more difficult on the wrist and hand to move the mouse or the pen around a larger tablet. The small size is just right.
Using the pen takes some getting used to, but once you are used to it, a regular mouse seems clunky and awkward. I love my Bamboo Fun, I recommend it!
Customer Rating: Summary: not good in city Comment: So, here is the thing. I live in Atlanta GA and the pad sucks. What do they have to do with each other, glad you asked. Because I live in the city, I am always at some point in time, surrounded by something that gives off RF waves or frequencies or whatever; something in the area is giving off waves that interfere with the pen properly interacting with the pad. When i touch the pen with the pad the mouse cursor on the screen goes crazy and erratic. The pad or pen is not properly shielded and essentially this pad is a waste of money and time. I am sure that it would be awesome if it actually worked properly, but it doesn't.
Tech support can't do anything to help because it is outside their range. The only advice was to go out and buy a new one that was a lot more expensive that the pros use. Not to mention, even if I buy a professional one, there is no telling whether or not that one will do the same thing.
Customer Rating: Summary: Bamboo Very Fun... Comment: I ordered the Bamboo Fun tablet for an art class I am taking in college. I was very skeptical about using it, but now that I've spent some time with it, I've found it to be a neccessary piece of equipment and quite the time waster. Plus it came with 3 very great programs bundles with it, all for only about 90 dollars. Photoshop Essentials 5.0 is one of the programs that came bundled with it and that alone is a 90 dollar program.
