Comment: Although this product does have it uses, there are so many pieces and parts. I have only used three pieces since I have used it and the rest I just got rid of. I don't see why you wouldn't buy a blender.

Summary: Great product - short lifespan
Comment: I love using the Magic Bullet for the reasons listed on this site - mainly convenience of use and cleanup. Here is the catch, however. My first Magic Bullet lasted about 6 months with daily usage. I thought that the short lifespan was a fluke, so I bought another Magic Bullet. The second one lasted about two months with daily usage. Daily usage was making smoothies and grinding cheese, ice, nuts - nothing unusual, according to the sales pitch.
Believe it or not, I'm looking to buy a third Magic Bullet because of the convenience (it literally cleans up in seconds vs. a blender because the blade is easier to get at), but now I know that I'm only going to have it for a short time.

Comment: I use my magic bullet almost every morning to make my breakfast smoothie. It's perfect for a single serving and easy to clean and store. It's small enough to pack in a suitcase for travel. The only downside I've found with this blender is that it can overheat if used for too long. It's best to use the pulse method of blending if you're preparing several servings at once or you are chopping or blending something with a thicker consistency.

Comment: I ordered this specifically because it says it replaces an "electric juicer" in the description. The juicer attachment does not come with this set, however. I called the company, and they were very unhelpful. They couldn't even tell me which set did come with the juicer, and the woman said it was my mistake for thinking this set had the juicer attachment. My only option is to return it AT MY EXPENSE. I'm going to try to find a juicer attachment somewhere else.

Summary: Great Blender if you can find it for $20
Comment: This is a way over-priced little blender that does an okay job but is very convenient. I really like my Magic Bullet. In fact, I bought another one to use at work. But I bought both of mine on Craigslist - $35. each. When people buy them on TV they usually end up with two and after shipping they have spent $139. Then they try and unload one and if you're lucky you can get it for reasonable price. Still, even at $35, not a great deal. I discovered that there are other "personal" size blenders out there and if I ever need to get anothe one, I will look into those. But here is the deal. If you buy this set for the convenience and already own a real blender, you can sell the larger blender/juicer attachment on Ebay for at least $20 - net cost $15 and that is a fair price. The juicer is worthless. So how does the Magic Bullet work? Not great, but the fact that you make individual servings in the same container you drink from sold me. I make smoothies and the Magic Bullet has to work long and hard with frozen fruit (and even after a minute, it still often leaves some fruit unblended - usually a little banana) but most department store blenders do a lousy job at this too. If you want a really good blender you need to consider the KitchenAid Pro Line - it is the minimum for a good blender, but mine sits pretty much unused since I got the Magic Bullet because of the convenience. So, forget about the hype of blending everything in several seconds, it's not a great blender but for single smoothies, it does an adequate job.
