Editorial Reviews:

This motherboard supports AMD Socket AM2+ multi-core processors with unique L3 cache and delivers better over-clocking capabilities with less power consumption. It features dual-channel DDR2 1066 memory support and accelerates data transfer rate up to 5200 MT/s via HyperTransport 3.0 based system bus.

Summary: Rock solid ifyou know what you are doing
Comment: When I first opened the box I was overwhelmed but having built a couple other computers I took a breath and started at the installation of the cpu and fan and worked my way up. There are a lot of extra and plenty of cords to go around. I installed xp pro 64 and it went without a hitch. Everything worked even the wifi. The wifi was a little hinky in xp pro 64 but when I went to Vista 64 it works great now. I love the ability of two pci-e but made the mistake of getting ati card and it works butto use two they have to be nvidia. Next year I will replace with two good nvidia cards. I would build another computer any time with this. Asus rocks!

Summary: Hard core Quad Core
Comment: Running with a phenom 9850 BE. Not a board for the faint of heart. This is not a board for beginners. There are so many options for tweaking just about everything that you can get yourself quickly into trouble. In my humble opinion try starting with everything in auto. Seems to be quite stable this way. Also try using the AMD Overdrive as the effects aren't saved upon windows reload. Still cant get the auto clock to work properly. Other than that this should leave you more than an enough room to tweak slowly. Had some little issues with hardware problems (mostly my doing). Only real gripe is that there is only on IDE header. Going to have to replace all my old cd/dvd drives with sata drives.

Summary: RMA!!!
Comment: Asus must be really hurting it put this board on the market untested with its own software. The wi-fi card they used has many conflicts with the mobo and even though they say its Vista ready they didn't mean all of it. The driver sent in the mobo installation cd is for a Realtec laptop card (it's atheros)and the mother board dosen't even reconize it for what it really is. I tried a Vista 32bit driver (Vista 64 not supported) from Atheros and I got online once with a very weak signal and low transfer rate for a few minutes and that was the end of it. After many atempts I the MB gave out completly. I read in a few forums that this is the norm for this board, but installing the latest BIOS clears up most of it so I hear. Im not going to find out. I'm RMAing it for a refund and getting the non wi-fi version of the M3A32 board which has much better reviews.

Summary: would not boot from my Hard drive with XP pro
Comment: For the last 5- days I have been trying to get up and running. Purchased new MB, 2x1 GB DDR2 memory, video card, cd/dvd/CD rom, fan, power sypply, Installed in 2-year old case and reused my working dual 2 year old IDE hard drives. I am not sure problem is MB but inital boot would not run existing XP pro. system would set there and cycle on off on off. Try to reload XP pro and now I get errors and it will not load or run. I was looking forward to a new fast system but here I set. Now looking into purchase new SATA hard drive $$ in hopes it will allow load of XP-pro. Perhaps XP pro CD is bad that would mean more $$s This is not going very well
