Summary: Amazingly bright in a small package!
Comment: It is astonishing how bright and yet how small this light is! The light feels solid and very well made.
On the positive side:
Small, unequalled combination of brightness & size!
Multi-modes - Low, medium, high, turbo constant brightness plus automatic "SOS" flash and turbo-brightness rapid strobe (the latter is kind of disorienting if shined at you).
Tail push-button switch protected by raised rim.
Light color appears to be true white (not noticeably blue or yellow).
The only thing that could use improvement is:
The tail pushbutton is used for both on/off and mode selection. That means when you turn it on it doesn't come on in the last mode used. Maybe it's picky on my part, but that's a minor annoyance. The "turbo" selection is by rotation of the front section. It would be nice to have all modes selected by this section (with detents).
By the way, the light requires two CR123A lithium batteries and they are not included.
The negatives are pretty minor about this light. The positives are outstanding!

Summary: Great flashlight...
Comment: It's a great flashlight and very bright! It has a pretty low battery life compared when in Turbo mode however, the bright general mode is sufficient anyway. I'm definitely a flashlight junkie and this is a great one to add to the collection.

Summary: Fenix P3D, Powerful, Versatile
Comment: Great little light. I recommend this flashlight for anyone looking for a portable flexible powerhouse. In turbo mode It throws a wide powerful beam of light, like a flood light you can hide in the palm of your hand. While an adjustable flashlight like a Maglight will throw a concentrated beam further than the P3D it wont light up a wide area like this little guy.
On the low setting you can use it in tight quarters like inside a camper or tent without blinding everybody. In turbo mode you can strap it to the front of your Harley and roll down the highway under the moonlight. Or... The P3D has a flat bottom and can be stood up to be used as a candle. The strobe mode works well and though I find it superfluous... you might not. The color of the beam in turbo mode is white tending to a slight greenish blue tint as you lower the brightness.
The switch is recessed and requires a full press to activate making the P3D difficult to operate with one hand (my thumb wont bend tightly enough to get into the recess). When you manage to turn it on it makes an audible click. If you have your side arm in one hand and this flashlight in the other you will have a hard time turning it on and when you do it will make an audible click. Speaking of the switch, one switch controls 4 functions, on/off, medium, high and flashing (turning the bezel activates Turbo mode). In order to get it to flash you must press the same switch 4 times. Although I don't like devices that use one switch for too many functions I think the designers handled this one about as well as they could given the size of the flashlight. To sum up, the switch is not great but not a deal killer either.
Pros: Small, lightweight, powerful beam with no dark spots, versatile, well constructed.
Cons: Body is too small to use as self defense weapon and switch is too loud and inconvenient for tactical, round body can roll off flat surfaces, beam is not adjustable.
To conclude, if you need a tactical light keep looking but if you want great little all around light for emergencies or camping than the pros vastly outweigh the cons and the P3D is simply put, a great thrower of light. Isn't that what you want in a flashlight? Buy it!

Summary: Excellent for emergencies and general use
Comment: I bought this light for emergency use. I picked this one because it's a lot cheaper than any Surefire flashlight, has multiple output settings, small, convenient, and uses the 5-10 year shelf life CR123A batteries. Since it's being used for emergencies, I needed a flashlight that was going to last a long time without being used much and also last long while it's being used. On it's lowest setting it will last continuously for 65 hours, great if you're in a disaster situation and in turbo mode, it's more than bright enough for signaling or searching. It is definitely one of the brightest flashlights I've found. The price is so much better than other flashlights at this output level. The surefire lights usually only have two lighting modes, aren't as bright and don't last as long and a lot more expensive, usually twice as much. So I've been able to buy two of these for the price of one surefire and leave the in the car and in our disaster pack.
The only negatives is that the tail switch has no lockout for accidentally turning it on while in a purse or backpack and little protection for the lens.
Another comment, The light is also round so it WILL roll off a flat surface.
I find that i am using more often than i anticipated because it's so small, handy, and kinda fun to use at night while walking through the parking lot at night.
Great light.
PS. buy the batteries directly from Surefire.com, i haven't found them any cheaper anywhere else.

Summary: I didn't know flashlights this bright existed!
Comment: Fantastic light. This thing is unbelievably powerful for something so small. Even on its lowest setting it blows away a MagLite, and cranking it up to "turbo mode" puts out an absolutely astounding amount of light. The beam has amazing throw and a good amount of softer spill light around the hot-spot. Great battery life (65 hours on low!!!) and excellent build quality, and the "tactical strobe" is fun to use on unexpecting friends :) Highly recommended.
