Summary: Just personal opinion
Comment: pro
1. well... i think you know all the pro... Its a windows pocket pc, you can install anything you want. so it will do anything you want it to do... except it won't make coffee for you. you thinking there are hundreds of ppc out there, but think about it you can't really install all the software you want to a ppc coz you got very limited amount of ROM. Relatively speaking flame has unlimited (2gb) memory for a ppc. after about 2 years the flame came out, there are no other ppc in this price range has this much rom.

2. and it does handle all the software. i mean i didn't find it acting loaded after i install more then 20 extra applications

3. full VGA resolution under 500$ that's something impossible to get.

4. Usb HOST works just fine... really amazing!

5. don't have to carry a charger around as your usb cable is your charger. under 20$ you can buy 3amp battery for it (yes i said amp/hour not mah!).

6. the camera is good. mic is very sensitive in terms of voice recording.

7. i didn't find much problem that you usually get on a ppc...

Con
1. Doesn't support HSDC, so can't use memory card more then 2gb

2. Charger and usb port is the same so i can't use a usb device and charge it at a time. for example watching movie from usb flash drive... no way keep the battery charged..

3. If its connected to a pc by usb cable then u can't use wifi. means ActiveSync and wifi doesn't work simultaneously. but if the pc has internet it share that... so its not a big problem

4. If u use wifi the battery ends up very quick, for example if u connect to internet by wifi u can talk at most half an hour on skype, if u had the battery (the box battery i think is 1650mah) full charge

5. No printer support! driver for other usb device is not available either. but i think its the fault of windows not flame. i was able to print from a third party software though.

6. I don't even wanna talk about how it doesn't comes with basic software like a GOOD image viewer or divx player, or how bad it feels not to have GPS on a 500$ phone! (ya ya its all manageable you have to add all the nuts and bolts yours self)

7. The webcam only can be used as video calling over the cellular network, u can't use it to a external software like skype or msn, neither u can record video with it.

8. The FM radio plays only on wired headset, not on the speaker or Bluetooth headset, which is really really wired!

9. the mic doesn't seems work smooth when i talk over skype, (or may be its my wifi problem).

10. when i watch video on full screen for some wired reason it exit form full screen mode after a while... don't know its the problem of windows or the Flame

11. No motion detection, to flip the screen vertical/horizontal according to the way you hold it. its very common now days, even my old phone had it.

12. The video playback is not as smooth as it should be according to its HIGH specification

13. its huge... well its not a con since you already know it... may be you can find some pro out of it like use as a dumbbells every morning... or you can hit with it if someone tries to jack you!

14. Damn this review was long...
