Customer Rating: Summary: Not as good as the old one Comment: This is a much cheaper version of the old one,I have the 1st generation Nano and think it is much better. Granted, that one didn't have a window in it, but you can't really see it while you are running...
This one is much thinner and barely fits on my arm. I am worried that once the velcro starts to go, I will have to replace the armband negating any savings on this model (it is less expensive). It also is not as elastic as the first generation.
I would love to know if there is another brand out there that holds the Nike +. Customer Rating: Summary: A Great Alternative to Nike+ Armband Comment: If you have issues or concerns with sweating with the Nike+ armband systems then consider the iFrogz ibagz as an alternative. It is water resistant, easy to operate, and your ipod remains completely dry.
The only con is that it must be manipulated for comfort. I simply tighten the lanyard around my arm and then place the Nike+ Armband over the bag once I've started running to keep it in place. Don't mess with the controls to often so lack of access is not an issue.
Average run is 7-10 miles and have no problems with the iBagz. Large Water Resistant Ibagz.. Customer Rating: Summary: Works Great, but moisture buildup Comment: This product works great. It stays snug on my small arms and doesnt move will running. Its a little difficult to slide the nano into the back opening the first few times, but works great now and doesnt move around. Volume controls work through the plastic window without any problems. The only downfall that I found was that moisture builds up in the case when working out. I don't know how much this will effect the ipod, but it could be a little risky, especially if you sweat a lot. Customer Rating: Summary: Nike iPod armband Comment: I got this for my wife, who uses it when running. She has had no complaints. She says it's comfortable and her iPod is secure. She has no troubles with getting it in or out. Customer Rating: Summary: Watch out for wet nano Comment: Too bad about this one. I think the Nike armband is pretty comfortable and I guess reasonably priced. There is one major problem however as you may have already read. You ipod nano gets wet everytime you exercise!! Talk about a major design flaw. Also it is a little on the snug side. Otherwise you can slide in your ipod easily and remove it easily. If you're not going to exercise with it (isn't that what it's for??) maybe this is the armband for you.
