The Stylus 1010 is a perfect camera for users looking for a compact digital camera with advanced features. An attractive package of features including a 7x Optical Zoom and Digital Image Stabilization helps users capture clear, crisp memories. 10.1MP gives you superior image quality that you can use to make large prints, or even crop, without losing detail. The Stylus 1010 has a 7x optical zoom that gets twice the magnification when compared to a 3x zoom with this ultra-compact, precision-crafted Olympus lens. With the Dual Image Stabilization you get 2-in-1 anti-blur solutions that keeps your shot steady by compensating for camera shake to capture crisp, clear images in any situation. Easily view photos on the 2.7" HyperCrystal LCD that lets you view at extra-wide angles and with the anti-glare technology share photos with family and friends even in direct, bright sunlight. Focus Range Normal mode - 0.7m - infinity, Macro Mode - 0.1m - infinity, Tele - 0.6m - infinity, Super Macro mode - 2cm - 70cm 1/2000 -1/2 sec. (up to 4 Sec. Customer Rating: Summary: Nice out door camera but! Comment: It is a very nice camera. It's small and neat and easy to use. It is up and ready to take a photo in seconds, which is one thing that I wanted in a camera and ready to take another photo if you miss the first shot. But the images just do not cut it for indoor usage. Outdoors they look very good and clean but indoors they get very grainy. They look good on the LCD before and after, but once you take them off you see the true quality.
If they just fix that problem this would stand on top all the rest.
Customer Rating: Summary: Love it Comment: I really like this camera. If I search really hard my only complaint would be that the video doesn't zoom. But I don't know if any camera does that.
I DO recommend buying this camera from AMAZON.COM. It is MUCH cheaper than best buy or ciruit city.
Customer Rating: Summary: Olympus Stylus 1010 10.1 MP Digital Camera Comment: I love the camera but it is not the easiest to use. I still need to figure out the red eye thing.
Customer Rating: Summary: Big Produxt in a small package Comment: I picked this camera out for my birthday. It is wonderful! The pictures are clear and sharp,no matter how much they are enlarged. The 7x zoom allowed me to take great videos from 20 rows up at a recent sporting event. I wish the sound was a little louder, but when you download to a computer, it is easily adjusted. The scene selector is fantastic, just select what you want to photograph, push OK, and click! I would highly recommend this camera to anyone who wants a small compact camera loaded with features. Worth every penny.
Customer Rating: Summary: Love the camera but miss the date stamp Comment: I chose this camera based on its small size, high megapixel, and high zoom capabilities but will be returning it due to the missing and very important date stamp. I am using the camera to take pictures of my growing child, and need to be able to look back and know the precise date the picture was taken. Otherwise, I LOVE this camera, it takes nice, clear pictures, is easy to use (once I read the manual cover to cover), was reasonably priced, is cute, fits nicely in my purse for those spontaneous hilarious moments kids seem to have, and perhaps most importantly, has an almost zero delay in taking the picture once you press the shutter button. (This last point was the reason I decided to upgrade from a Kodak EasyShare.)
All in all, I am VERY, VERY disappointed in Olympus' decision not to provide date (and less important to me, time) stamps with its cameras. It pains me to return this camera, but the stamp is just that important to me.
