Customer Rating: Summary: Not what I thought it was Comment: I entered the search term, "dvd+r dl" into Amazon's search window and several choices came up including these disks. I didn't notice that they are not in fact dvd+r dl but are instead dvd-r dl. It turns out the minus makes all the difference -- they are regarded as coasters by my NEC 3420A optical drives. Before ordering these disks, better check whether they are compatible with your drives. I rated the disks 5 stars in order to give them the benefit of the doubt -- I don't know how they actually perform.
Customer Rating: Summary: Great for consoles Comment: I usually avoid cheap media, and typically stick with Verbatim disks. But I recently bought some Verbatim DVD+Rs and was having issues getting them to work on the PS2. Since DVD-Rs typically work better for consoles anyway, I wanted to pick up something cheap that would hopefully still work. I went with these and am 100% pleased. They clear up the issues I had with my PS2 reading the second layer, and work great in the Wii as well. If you are looking for DVD-R disks odds are you are probably doing so for the same reasons I did, and I fully recommend these for both the PS2 and Wii. Much cheaper than the Verbatims and while still probably not as great of quality, they will at least work in the systems
