Customer Rating: Summary: Me Gusta Tequila! Comment: What a great and smooth sounding debut album from Jessy J. I heard the samples here from Amazon while I was searching for new jazz cd's and I knew that it would be a great-sounding composition. When I received this cd, I fell in love with the nice & exotic vibes from the sax, and was impressed to hear the lovely melodies produced by Jessy, full of musical coolness with a fresh appeal. This is a great smooth jazz cd, with a little touch of a spanish feel on a few tracks. I believe if you are a true jazz lover like myself, then this will definitely bring satisfaction to your ears. Perfect for a couple on a romantic night out, at home relaxing, somewhere on an island where it's bright & sunny or at a beach watching the sun go down. Whatever the scenerio is for you, I guarantee that you will enjoy the wonderful melodies on "Tequila Moon." Don't hesitate to buy, grab a copy, relax & enjoy!
Customer Rating: Summary: Very Sweet Comment: Lovely, sweet versions of standards as well as original material. Some are purely instrumental while others have vocals. Cool jazz similar to Kenny G at times or some are more latin-flavored like Brazilian jazz. Very sweet, silky music good for dinner accompaniment or a sweet summer evening spent with your lover. My favorite is her breathy, feathery version of "Besame Mucho". It's done so sweetly it's sure to incite some more kissing. Enjoy!
Customer Rating: Summary: great music Comment: Loved Jesse J's sax playing the first time I heard "Tequila Moon" on a local jazz station. I had to have that song for my colection. The rest of the album did not disappoint. Hope she produces another album soon.
Customer Rating: Summary: disappointing Comment: Perhaps I'm uninformed but when I think of "latin or spanish" music I instantly think of salsa, cha cha and the like. Mostly they comprise of upbeat melodies that coax you into a desire to follow the rhythm and dance. This album however sounds more like jazz standards that spainish inspired or intertwined music. While she is talented as far as the ability to play the sax, the originality and spice to the music is lacking...except for the first two tracks the rest is elevator music at best.
Customer Rating: Summary: Hot new artist fusing jazz and samba! Comment: Jessy brings a fresh new approach to the classics like Sin Ti along with originals like Tequila Moon her hot new single. My Brother and I had the pleasure of working with Jessy on video profile for a radio station in LA and found her to be delight to be around. She's bright and talented and has a great sense of humor. Check out the video interview along with her performance of Tequila Moon [...]
I love this CD and would recommend it to anyone who loves jazz with a latin flare.....even my 70 year old Father enjoyed it and can't wait to tell his friend about Jessy's version of Sin Ti....now that's music that appeals to all ages!
