Summary: people on the other end say sound is horrible
Comment: Everyone I spoke to with these phones all said the same thing. The clarity is horrible and that I sound muffled. I tried both handsets and only 20 feet from the base and everyone said the sound is horrible. They sound OK on my end but phones are a two way street and they should not be unpleasant for the people you are talking too. No one wanted to speak to me for more than a few minutes due to the clarity (or maybe I should get the hint LOL). I give them more than one star since they seem ok from my end but no more than two since half the conversation is for the people you talk to on the phone and no one liked the clarity and struggled to hear me.

Comment: So these phones work fairly well, but here's the problem, before you buy, try calling their numbers and see what you get.
What you'll get is an endless grave of automated responses giving you all the ways you can fix your problem, and NO way to reach someone if either the problem you're having isn't on the menu or if their fixes don't work.
AND you'll take an hour to do this before you realize that you're NEVER going get any help from a human. EVER.
Buy at your own peril, and don't say I didn't warn you!

Comment: I was looking for a two phone cordless phone system for someone who didn't want a lot of frills. This system filled the bill.

Comment: Both phones worked for about 2 weeks. One phone is still OK. When they worked, they were fine.

Comment: Last year I purchased a GE phone system the volume was so low my wife and I had trouble hearing anyone, The VTech is great, good range and very clear. I recommend this product to anyone. Also the service was great from Amazon.
