Customer Rating: Summary: Not as top of the line as it should be! Comment: I am a very big fan of Canon printers and All-In Ones. I previously have had the MP780 and the MP830 of which I had no complaints and would have rated 4-5 stars. My complaints with the 7600 are:
1) slow to print first page
2) cannot use regular paper from the rear paper loader (only the cassette).
3) a bit noisy before and after printing.
4) ink only available online
If I had to buy again, I would go with the MP850.
Customer Rating: Summary: Can't find any of the inks at the retail stores Comment: PLEASE CANON IF YOUR READING THIS OPINION I HAVE USED HP FOR DECADES. THIS ALL IN ONE IS THE FIRST TRY USING YOUR PRODUCT BUT PLEASE START SELLING YOUR INK IN STORES. BUYING ON-LINE DOESN'T WORK FOR ANY OF US. IF YOU CAN'T DO THIS I'M AFRAID IT'S BACK TO HP.

Customer Rating: Summary: broken within days Comment: Canon error 6A00 appeared on screen within days, and the printer was broken.
Online searching indicated that this error is related to a jammed transport mechanism.
Customer Rating: Summary: Easy to use Comment: I bought this printer based on experience with an earlier model, which was good, and frustration with my HP printer. This Canon model is very easy to use, makes crisp, clean copies, and the scanner and fax functions are also simple. It's nice for my home office. Like other reviewers, I agree that it is a little on the noisy side. My biggest con, though, is that I have been unable to find the ink at any local office supply stores and was forced to by online ... not a good discovery to make when the printer has just run out of black ink. Otherwise, I am very satisfied ... so far ... with this product.
Customer Rating: Summary: Mostly works with the Mac OS X 10.5 Comment: I have this printer networked with my Windows PC and my new iMac. I haven't yet figured out how to get the scanner to work with the iMac.
It was pretty much plug and play for the PC. The installation instructions for the Mac 10.5 are nowhere near actual installation instructions--even the latest instructions from the website aren't correct.
Printer is great, scanner is very good, networked capability is reliable, just gotta figure out how to get the scanner to work with the lastest Mac OS.
