Randy Travis has recorded the perfect country album...again for 2008. This is the first genuinely Country album since 1999 from superstar Randy Travis. For the man who led the New Country Traditionalist movement, his album, Around The Bend, is the continuation of an enormously popular career. North Carolina-born Randy Travis changed the face of Country music and he helped reconnect the genre with its authentic roots. It all started with Storms Of Life, the four time Grammy winner's 1986 #1 debut LP and Country's first ever multiplatinum album.

Customer Rating: Summary: Randy is the best Comment: What can I say about Randy's latest release?? He not only revitalized country, but he continues to stay true to country. He turned me on to country in the late 1980's and has never disappointed. Please continue traditional country, not what so much of the new crap is.
Customer Rating: Summary: Around the Bend Comment: Loving Randy Travis' music as I do I was glad to hear this more country theme to this cd. I love the last five gospel ones he has made but, also enjoy the country sound.
Customer Rating: Summary: Excellent Comment: We enjoy Randy Travis very much and this CD of his; which is new is
very good. Does a fantastic job of songs on this CD.
Customer Rating: Summary: Classic Randy Comment: This is the best Randy Travis release in a long, long time. It's varied, fun, spiritual and down home country.
Customer Rating: Summary: Country music's shot in the arm. Comment: It sounds pretty good on the Amazon sample clips, but it sounds a lot better once you hear the whole songs.
Some tracks are better than others (the title track and "Faith In You" are the least interesting) but on the whole, it's really good. "Love is a Gamble" is deceptively catchy but holds up if you listen to the words. I know that Dylan is not everyone's thing but "Don't Think Twice" is, by any standards, a brilliant piece of songwriting.
Keep up the good work. Country music needs this.
