I always have trouble with seld tanners turning orange or being spotty but this looks like a real tan and I get a lot of compliments. Expensive but completely worth it!!!!!!! Customer Rating: Summary: Finally a decent faux tan! Comment: Pleasantly surprised, worth the money! The base is a clear gel that I assume helps the color develop evenly (no streaks, hooray!) The spray itself is VERY fine, no need to rub or fuss which saves time & makes the extra steps worthwhile. The smell is faintly noticeable when applying the color, but dries to no odor whatsoever & doesn't seem to transfer to clothing. I'm very happy with the color (2 passes on arms, legs, & belly - 1 everywhere else) which is a nice brown, much less orange-y than others. However, since the kit doesn't come in shades I'd warn against getting too excited with the spray - it's pretty dark. (I have a fair-to-medium complexion.) The lotion is like most "hint of color" lotions available at the drugstore, but smells nice. The instructions are clear (exfoliate first, no oils on skin, shave 4-6 hours before, cover floor or apply in shower) and make for great results. Having never received a Mystic Tan before, I'm glad I splurged & finally found something that gives me enough color the first time without looking obvious. Yay!
