Summary: Stunning graphics and good software - but...
Comment: This card has given my gaming rig some real 'zap'. Crysis and Stalker Clear Sky run at max settings and it runs cool and is overclockable from windows. But, I only just got it into the Mobo, due to its mahoosive size. Its far end conflicted with the IDE connection socket. Luckily, it works just fine, in spite of not being fully seated into the socket. In addition, the fitting instructions are woefully inadequate (ie they do not exist)and the extra cables are not explained. It works, but I haven't used the cables that came with it (except power, obviously). Well worth $140.

Comment: got this baby about 1 month ago, back then it was the hotest saller ever! it was so hard to find that i had to purchase right when they are IN STOCK but yeah i payed about $200 which did NOT make me happy at all! but i am glad i got it

Comment: Well I bought that card for the price because the price was lower and the performance was amazing, the Temperature always below of 60C in load and IDLE 45C great card.
The only problem with that card was the incompatibility of conectores. The conector must be DVI-I Double link no other!! for if you have problems with the conectors..

Comment: Really excellent video card. I tried tomb raider which is sold with it and the resolution is wonderful without slowing down the game.
The fan is automatically adjust with the temperature thanks to the drivers. However in Linux, I will have to compile the driver Nvidia to make it works but the fan probably will turn full speed which is gonna be loud.

Summary: Excellent card, excellent value...
Comment: I have always been a NVIDIA fan, and they definitely give the biggest bang for buck. I haven't been more pleased with NVIDIA VGA cards. I built a custom rig and decided to go ATI. Then, I started running into severe overheating problems. SO I came back home. My choice was between the NVIDIA 9600GT or the 8800GTX. I decided to go with the 9600 for 2 reasons:
1. Power consumption.
2. Technological Advancement.
Obviously as the drivers get updated this card will run smoother and eventually will surpass the 8800GTX. This one comes with 1GB, I don't know if it makes a huge difference. From what I've read it doesn't give you any faster frames either. But it was priced the same as the 512MB so I made the purchase and I couldn't be happier. Plays UT3 at max resolution very smoothly, as well as bioshock, PES 2008, Devil May Cry 4 and Assassin's Creed. Those are the few I've tried, and im pretty sure it can play all the others just as well. Get this card and you won't be disappointed. The only con I can think of is that the card is massive in size...make sure u have enough space. Mid Tower and Full ATX mobo recommended. Make sure you are willing to lose 2 to 3 PCI and/or PCI-E slots. The HDMI output works without a hitch!
