Summary: not absorbent enough and too expensive
Comment: I have two complaints about these diapers:
1) they aren't absorbent enough. when my baby pees the insert gets soaked and bunches up immediately resulting in leaks and wetness next to his skin.
2) the inserts are very expensive, making them more expensive (and less absorbent) than commercial diapers.
You don't save any time with these, and you won't save any money, so if you're concerned about the environment and water's not an issue where you live get cloth diapers.
I'm using mine (since I already bought them) with cloth prefolds inside the plastic insert thing and they work all right that way.

Comment: I really love these. Cloth wasn't really an option, so these feel like a great way to be a bit more green. Plus they're much cuter than disposables. =) The only times I've had issues with leaks were when I left them on too long and he soaked through the insert, otherwise they've been great. I do try to change them every 2 hours or so, as they're not quite as absorbent as disposables and so will feel damp on his skin when wet.
The biggest downside is that when your baby poops, you WILL get poop on the liner. At least in those first 6 months when the poop is super runny. That's a pain, but as long as you're careful you should be ok and be able to keep the outer pant clean. You will need to rinse out or wash the plastic liner. This becomes less of a problem when baby starts solids and the poop becomes firmer.
One of the things I like best is if you flush these, you don't have to worry about stinky poopy diapers sitting in your diaper pail for days till trash day. Just flush away! Sweet. Our current toilet doesn't quite do well with these so I'm wrapping the poopy diapers in a biodegradable plastic bag, and the wet ones go in our compost pile. BTW I do use regular disposables at night, so as not to have to worry about changing his diaper in the middle of the night.

Summary: Bonus with Amazon
Comment: I first saw these at Whole Foods, and decided to come read reviews before I purchased. I was impressed with the reviews, and decided to do as others recommended and buy starter kits due to the cost. I found they were a couple dollars cheaper at Whole Foods, but ordered 2 from Amazon as well. I was happy with the kit from Amazon, b/c it included 2 extra liners (plus no tax and free shipping)! If I decide I need more little g pants, I will just order more starter kits from Amazon.
I LOVE these diapers, and feel better about what I'm doing for the environment. My son's skin has never been so dry after taking off a wet diaper, and his skin is so healthy.
We try to flush all the diapers, but are going to get some biodegrateable bags for when we need to throw them away. As my husband pointed out, if you throw the diapers away, even though they break down, if they are in a plastic trash bag or Diaper Genie bag, they won't be able to break down.
Some people argue that flushing the gDiapers wastes water, but not any more water than if your baby were already using the toilet, and not as much water as washing cloth diapers. You can also time your diaper flushing to when Mom or Dad use the toilet to save on flushes. ;)
All in all, I'm very happy with gDiapers, and would recommend them to anyone looking for a earth-friendly, healthy baby alternative to regular disposables.

Summary: god for travelling
Comment: We use cloth diapers, but when we were planning a road trip, I needed something that was more portable (than carrying around dirty diapers in the trunk of the car). We only used these while we were on the road and they worked well, I didn't really swirl them as we were changing diapers in public restrooms, but they flushed fine, just from ripping them open and dumping them in the toilets. They're expensive, so we just save them for travelling purposes, but when you're in a crunch, they work well with a regular prefold stuffed in them too, plus they're really cute!

Comment: I wanted to try these both because of the impact on the earth and to see if they would help with my son's eczema. You do have to pay attention to how wet they get because they will leak especially at night. Other than nap times, I had no issue with leaks. They were very helpful in clearing up my son's eczema and decreasing instances of diaper rash.
